Desctription
Twelve guardian deities are featured in Japanese Esoteric Buddhism. It is notable for this depiction of the wind god Futen’s level of detail in wrinkles on the deity's face and in his flowing beard. Although almost woodblock prints had been produced smaller in the past, larger works such as this began to appear around 600 years ago.
